Hi,
On the 21st November I fell while doing my acclimatisation trek on Nagarjuna Hill, and saw Dr Abhyu G for treatment.
The Dr diagnosed a fractured humerus condyle and applied a long plaster cast. I am so grateful for his expertise and also from all the staff at the clinic. My friends and I made it to EBC on the 23rd November, it was an incredible experience and I could not have done this without your care.
When I arrived in Kathmandu on the 27th, I went to HAMS hospital, where an xray showed a fractured radial head. They applied a fiberglass long cast and my travel insurance arranged a flight home for me, as the Orthapedic surgeon at HAMS felt it needed surgery.
Once in Sydney I went to hospital and they also found a broken scaphoid, using a CT scan.
I am now in a short cast for another 4 weeks (8 in total) and am pleased I didnt need surgery on my elbow.
Thank you so much for providing such a good medical service on the mountains.
Kind regards,
Sharyn Wright.
